Sober Living Rules
- Residents are allowed to have their own car provided they have a valid driver’s license and insurance, which must be verified.
- No over night guests will be allowed.
- Residents must respect the anonymity of all residents. Residents and/or house business is confidential and must not be discussed outside of the house meeting. Any personal problems should be discussed with the executive director, a house manager, a sponsor or a counselor.
- Anyone dismissed from the recovery house will be permitted on case by case basis to return to the premises.
- No residents will be admitted with a history of violent crimes, arson, assault on a female or sexual assault charges/convictions. Every applicant has a background check performed before being admitted.
- Charleston Recovery Community will not reimburse funds if a resident relapses and is asked to leave.

There is a no tolerance policy on the following:
- Violence or threats of violence
- Weapons
- Stealing
- Destruction of property
- No drugs or alcohol permitted
- No smoking indoors. There will be designated smoking areas.
- Participation in AA or NA-minimum 3 times per week or continued care groups is suggested.
- Residents should have jobs, looking for work or participating in volunteer work or in school.
To insure a happy, healthy, drug and alcohol free environment please do your part to use common sense when it comes to either doing or not doing something that might affect yours and others continued stay.
